Bringing the grid out to a country house usually costs more than the installation itself. Here the entire energy need is met by the panels on the roof: lighting, refrigeration and everyday appliances run on stored energy.
A trapezoidal metal roof is a good surface for mounting: the structure is fixed with sealed clamps rather than drilled through. Panel rows follow the roof pitch and the cabling enters the building through the roof cavity.
