In chain cafés the electrical work races the programme: façade, joinery and equipment arrive in the same week and the installation has to be finished before them. At the Onyx branch of Coffee Lab we ran the supply lines, lighting circuits and equipment sockets to the operator’s layout.
What decides a café installation is knowing where the equipment will stand: the espresso machine, refrigeration and oven circuits are sized and protected separately. If the layout changes later the work is done twice, so we settled it at design stage.
